The Children’s Vision & Health Program

A comprehensive approach for growing eyes

Our program brings together three essential pillars of children’s vision care — pediatric eye exams, myopia management, and vision therapy — to ensure every child receives proactive and personalized support. Dr. Liang focuses on early detection, preventative care, and long-term guidance to keep your child’s eyes healthy as they grow.

Through this program, we help families build a foundation of trust and consistency in their child’s eye care. Think of it as a partnership — hand in hand, guiding your child’s vision toward a brighter future.

Pediatric Eye Exams in Markham

A lifelong foundation for clear, healthy vision

Dr. Liang recommends beginning comprehensive pediatric eye exams around six months of age and continuing regularly throughout childhood. Each exam goes far beyond checking for glasses — it’s about understanding how your child’s eyes work together, how they process what they see, and how their visual system supports learning and development.

We evaluate focusing ability, depth perception, tracking, and overall eye health to identify any concerns before they interfere with school or play.

Myopia Management for Kids in Markham, ON

Slowing nearsightedness and protecting long-term eye health

Nearsightedness, or myopia, often begins in childhood and can progress quickly without management. High levels of myopia increase the risk of serious eye conditions later in life.

Dr. Liang offers evidence-based myopia control options, including Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), MiSight® soft contact lenses, and myopia-control glasses. Families also receive lifestyle and visual habit coaching to help slow progression and protect long-term vision.

Our goal is to give your child the best possible start — clear vision today, and healthier eyes for their future.

Early eye care is crucial for your child’s development. Myopia is on the rise. We can protect your child from increasing myopia, and improve their poor visual attention and near work stamina for learning. Our pediatric services are designed to support growing eyes.

Ortho-K and Myopia Control

Myopia Control: Innovative treatments to slow down the progression of nearsightedness, including Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), a non-surgical treatment using specially designed night time contact lenses to reshape the cornea and control myopia progression while your child sleeps.

Vision Therapy for Children

Helping kids strengthen the way they see and learn

Some children see clearly on a chart but still struggle with reading, focus, or comprehension. These challenges often stem from how the eyes work together or how the brain processes visual information.

We offer tailored programs for children with high myopia, squints often, headaches,  loses their places when reading, and reading below grade level, lazy eyes, crossed eyes, whiplash, or brain injuries.
