Dr. Liang Optometrist
Dr. Yan Ling Liang started wearing glasses at age eleven with -1.00 in both eyes, in Guangzhou, China. Her first introduction to the field of Optometry was when she wanted to wear contact lenses in Toronto. She has learned much about the options for vision correction since. Dr. Liang was trained in University of Waterloo for Biomedical Science and Doctor of Optometry. She practiced in Edmonton, Alberta, and Thornhill. She is happy to stay in Markham to service the families in the region, and help them for the many years to come. She loves helping young children and adults see better with glasses, contact lenses. She's very interested in helping children with myopia control. Dr. Liang is an Eye See Eye Learn program provider, and an ambassador for the downtown Markham region. She speaks about children's eye care services for Chinese Family Services. She is also a member of good standing in Ontario Association of Optometrists and Canadian Association of Optometrists. She went on to do more than 600 hours training to become a Neuro-developmental Optometrist. The quest started when she wanted to help a crossed eye child to see single and have the eyes aligned. She can now help post-concussion and brain injured patients reduce their vision syndromes, headaches, near vision fatigue, and dizziness, and to help children with learning related vision problems to read easier with better attention. She's also certificated with MoCA to detect mild cognitive impairement. Dr. Liang is an active member of Neuro-Optometric Rehabililation Association, Vision Therapy Canada, College of Syntonics, and International Sports Vision Assocation. Dr. Liang was a clinical assessor for graduates from the Optometry school from Canada, US and other sides of the world for their license to practise in Canada. She is now a clerkship supervisor, teaching year 4 University of Waterloo School of Optometry students in their clinical rotations in Warden Optometry. Dr. Liang is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. |

梁艳玲医生毕业于滑铁卢大学,在七年内从滑铁卢大学拿到了生命科学和视光眼医科双学位。梁医生家里三代从医。她15岁就想做视光眼科医生了。她2007年曾到香港Polytechnic University和广州中山眼科医院做眼科交换生。先后在阿伯特省和安省Thornhill和Yonge & Bloor看诊. 她在2012年三月在万锦开了这诊所。
她毕业后还参加脑眼科Neuro-Vision的临床视光课程培训, 为诊所的孩子矫正斜视和眼睛影响到的读写问题，给儿童和成人治疗脑创伤后遗症。这过去四年在美加培训超过600个小时。她还有MoCA脑创伤测试牌照。
她曾是加拿大视光医生牌照,临床考试的考牌官。她还曾是Seneca College 和 Georgian College Optician (配镜师） program的实习课程导师。她现在带滑铁卢大学视光眼科医学四年级的学生。滑铁卢是唯一一个在加拿大用英文教导视光眼科医学的大学。
